40 Units of Blood Donated; Strong Community Participation Marks Public Welfare Initiative
Pulwama, April 25: As part of the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, Rahmoo Public Interest (RPI), in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama, organised a Blood Donation Camp and Health Screening Camp at Sports Ground, Rahmoo.
The initiative witnessed active participation from RPI volunteers, youth, and local residents, reflecting a strong sense of community responsibility and awareness towards public health and social welfare.

During the blood donation drive, a total of 40 units of blood were voluntarily donated by RPI volunteers, contributing to strengthening emergency medical support systems. The drive highlighted the growing spirit of volunteerism and humanitarian service among the youth of the area.
Alongside this, a comprehensive health screening camp was conducted at the venue, where medical teams provided on-the-spot consultations, basic health check-ups, and guidance to the attendees. The camp aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging people to remain conscious about their health.

The programme formed an integral part of the broader awareness initiative focused on building a healthy and drug-free society, aligning with the objectives of the Nasha Mukt campaign.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, and other senior officers of the District Administration, who appreciated the efforts of RPI and the active involvement of the youth in such initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman RPI, Sheikh Rayees, stated, “This initiative reflects our commitment towards public welfare and community responsibility. The participation of volunteers in the blood donation drive and the response from the public towards the health camp is encouraging. We aim to continue such efforts in coordination with the administration to address social and health-related concerns at the grassroots level.”

He further added, “Awareness and action must go together. Through such programmes, we are trying to create a sense of responsibility among youth and promote a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free society.”
The organisers expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the programme and acknowledged the cooperation extended by various departments.

Rahmoo Public Interest (RPI) extends its sincere gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, senior officers of the District Administration, and all stakeholders for their support and guidance in making the event successful.
